Organization Description:Impact Pendleton is a Christian nonprofit organization in Pendleton, OR. The Impact Mentoring
Program is a one-on-one mentoring program for students 3rd grade and up in the Pendleton area. Our strategy is simple: we connect adults from local churches with students from local schools. A mentor is someone who walks alongside a family to help a student reach their full potential. There is overwhelming research about the positive effects of mentoring. The presence of a mentor in the life of a child improves school performance, long-term goals, behavior, and self-confidence.
Position Description:
The Executive Director is the Chief Executive Officer of Impact Pendleton. The Executive Director reports to the Board of Directors, and is responsible for the organization's consistent achievement of its mission and financial objectives. The Executive Director should maintain a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and affirm and exemplify the Impact Pendleton Statement of Faith and Conduct.
Impact Pendleton is still in the early, startup cycle of the organization. First priority is to continue to ensure that the Impact Mentoring Program grows, while still maintaining a high level of quality. Thought should be given to growing, but not growing too quickly that standards of excellence cannot be maintained. This is a strategic concern in both growing the Impact Mentoring Program and/or adding additional programs.
The Executive Director’s main duties are to run the day to day operations of the Impact Mentoring Program, oversee staff, and have a vision and direction for the organization.

Executive Director Duties:
- Leading Impact Pendleton and implementing programs in a manner that supports and guides the organization’s mission as defined by the Board of Directors.
- Work with the board and staff to ensure that the mission is fulfilled through programs, strategic planning and community outreach.
- Maintain official records and documents, and ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations.
- Solicit and raise revenue necessary to support Impact Pendleton’s mission, in written materials, grants, fundraisers, and explicit solicitation for support.
- Responsible for fiscal management that generally anticipates operating within the approved budget, ensures maximum resource utilization, and maintenance of the organization in a positive financial position.
- Following all financial policies, handle all incoming gifts, deposits, record-keeping, and tax receipts.
- Build and retain relationships and partnerships with multiple stakeholders.
- Oversee marketing and communications efforts (social media, social media calendar, newsletter, website).
- Responsible for the hiring, development, and retention of competent, qualified staff and volunteer leaders.
- Oversee and participate in all activities of the Impact Mentoring Program.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of an Associates degree and/or relevant work experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Superior interpersonal skills and an ability to build relationships with a variety of local stakeholders, engage and recruit new people, and empathetically encourage and support mentors through challenging times.
- A passion for the work, mission, and vision of Impact Pendleton.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with Google Drive (calendar, sheets, docs).
- Familiarity with additional programs a plus but not necessary (i.e. Canva, Buffer, Mailchimp, Photoshop, Weebly, Office Suite, SEO, analytics, video editing programs).
- Organized, attentive to detail, and a self-starter who is able to prioritize work and adapt quickly in a fast-paced startup environment.
Job Details:
- Full time, 40 hours a week.
- Starting salary of $37,758 - $40,023 a year depending upon experience and qualifications.
- Paid holidays off include the week of Roundup, Labor Day, day before Thanksgiving, Thanksgiving, day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve to New Year’s day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, President’s day, Spring Break, Memorial Day, and July 4th.
- Vacation days will equal 15 days per year. In addition, one is eligible for 10 personal/sick days and 3 additional days to include bereavement, per year.
- Start date is July 3rd, 2023.
