Match Supervisor Position
Mentoring takes a lot of behind-the-scenes work! We recruit and train mentors, match mentors with students, and provide ongoing support. It takes approximately 9 hours of prep before a mentor is “matched” with a student, and then ongoing support throughout the relationship.

National best practices for mentoring say organizations should check in with mentors, parents, and students at least once per month. We try to exceed that-- checking in weekly in the first six weeks and 1-2 times per month thereafter, with texts, phone calls, and in-person support meetings with our mentors. This is an important piece in mentor retention and making sure mentors are equipped to go through the highs and lows of mentoring.
With the help of staff, the Match Supervisor is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with mentors, churches, families, and schools.
